fresh question : about porting to cortexM4.

        quick question that can i port Rockbox to cortexM4?is there any example?

Provided you have several MB of RAM, yes.  Although I don't believe anyone has tried before.

Yeah porting to Cortex-M4 doesn't mean much, the CPU is really just a small part of the entire SoC. However I doubt there are many Cortex-M based soc with 2MB of memory or more.

Ok 4MB might do it. Which chip is that ? You will have to write drivers for all peripherals and you will also have to compile Rockbox in thumb (at the moment it compiles to ARM), that might require provide thumb-only optimized code for memcpy and other similar operations.
