Sorry for asking this question - it probably exists somewhere, but is there any version of RockBox that works on this model gen ipod?
If so, Where or how can I download and install.

And if i may go on about this stupid question post ^^
I am a rockbox fan big one on all my ipods i had rock box (mini,video,nano) but now i have a clasic g7 or what apple would say g6 gen 3 XD.
i'm verry willing to install rockbox but I see that the OS provided is v17 and on the GIT is see the development is going on so is this the latest or do we need to recompile a new one to get the latest ?

I'm not entirely sure I understand the question, but you can download the latest software from the link I posted above.  You don't have to compile anything.

If I'm not mistaken you seem to be confusing the versioning of the wiki page with the that of the linked software.

There's never been a v17 of either emCORE or the ipod6g port.
