Sansa Clip Zip freezes at startup
lominisepsum:
Hello. I have a rockboxed Sansa Clip Zip 4GB with a 64GB SanDisk microSD card and it freezes at startup with Rockbox and with the original firmware. Also, the Sansa it's not recognized for the PC -Windows and Linux-. What can I do?
PD: Sorry for my engrish :)
saratoga:
If neither OS can boot, probably the flash memory is really screwed up. Try the rockbox bootloader USB mode (hold center button while booting if I remember correctly) and see if you can repair the file system from there.

Sorry for making you wait. I'm very busy. How can I make the player to boot into that mode? I press that combination but it only starts normally (obviusly, freezed, with the Rockbox logo and the 4.0 version advice at botton). Thank you.
saratoga:
Turn off player, hold center button, plug in player to USB.
lominisepsum:
Thanks. Well, when I do that the player shows the boot screen for less than a second a then that's what I get on Windows 7.
