Sandisk Sansa Clip Plus: Simplest theme progress bar cut off
cafink:
I recently installed Rockbox (3.13) on my Sandisk Sansa Clip Plus. I am very pleased with it so far, and found a theme that I really like, "Simplest" (http://themes.rockbox.org/index.php?themeid=1334&target=sansaclipplus). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to display correctly on my device--the bottom of the progress bar is cut off on the bottom (so I only see its top and side outlines). I checked to ensure that the font and other files required by the theme are present. Does anybody know what would cause this issue?
Thanks.

I can't say for certain that it will fix your problem, but I can say that you absolutely shouldn't be using the release build.
The releases are well over two years old now, you're missing out on a fairly vast swathe of bugfixes and feature additions.
There's no real reason to do releases anymore, because mainline is generally stable for all supported targets and has been for a long time.
Please update to a dev build and retry the scenario. A lot has changed since then.

Thanks for the suggestion. I originally installed Rockbox using RockboxUtility.exe.
I just tried updating to a dev build, but I don't think it worked. I used RockboxUtility.exe again, but selected "development build" from the dropdown, and clicked install. Everything appeared to work, but when I started up the player, it still says "3.13" when it boots up and on "Rockbox Info" screen accessible from the main menu's "System" option. I then tried (again using RockboxUtility.exe) uninstalling Rockbox altogether, and installing the development build from scratch, but again, I get the same results.
Is it normal for the development build to have the version number from the last release? How can I be sure that I'm actually running the latest development build?

Hi cafink,
I guess it's a bug. I had the same problem.
To display the slider properly, you can modify the file simplest.wps in the theme.
Replace:
%pb(0,0,-,-,-, slider, slider_image)
With:
%pb(0,0,-,8,-, slider, slider_image)
(8 is the height of the slider in pixels).
You should see it entirely now! Hope it helps.

Yes, that fixed it! Thanks for your help.
