How's the Sansa e260 compared to a Clip Zip?

After looking online for a possible replacement for my Clip Zip (it's alive and well, I was just curious) I realized there's nothing at all that could replace my Zip. And I came across a new Sansa e260, for about the same price I could get a Clip Sport.

Would it be a good idea to get one? What are the differences between the Zip and e260?

The v1 is PP, so a lot like the older iPods.

The v2 is AMSv1, so very similar to the Zip.

I want to know what are the differences between a Clip Zip and a Sansa e260, from a rockbox user point of view.

Also, is there a way to know if the e260 is a v1 or a v2?

Apparently, the ones I saw are V1

Rockbox is pretty much the same on all devices.  The only difference is the slower CPU and different hardware.

Thanks, I'll read more on the e260's hardware, the replaceable battery seems like a really nice thing to have.
