Spotify/Rockbox - What's your solutions?

Hello!
I just got Rockbox on an old iPod Video, as the iPod has a lot more space than my phone.
I use Spotify daily, and figured some of you do as well, and I'm really curious about the solutions you have when it comes to playlists etc.
I have some music stored locally that I'll import to the iPod, but I'll have to manually make the playlists.
And what's the best way to import the music? I made a folder and dragged the albums into it, but I could only find the music through the 'files' menu, as they didn't appear on the 'playlist' menu.
Obviously really new to this and I have to clue where to start.
