Program or Setting to lock all Clock speeds for Clip Zip at max?
« on: September 06, 2015, 12:49:08 AM »
Is there a secret setting or a program to lock all clock speeds for the Clip Zip at the max? I know about how heat, battery life, and reliability will take quite a hit, but I would love to know if there was a setting for this. If there isn't, is there a program?

Frequency scaling is not enabled on the Zip, so with a stock build the clocks are always locked at 240 MHz CPU and 24 MHz memory.

What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to see if locking everything at max will increase xworld's FPS by however little as on good scaling it is stuck at 14-16 FPS.

Search the forums for one of the frequency scaling enabled test builds. They might be a little faster.

More optization may be needed though.

Well, to be honest I was hoping for max everything on clock speeds. Is this possible?

The CPU is already maxed, and if you want to try a higher memory clock, you can test one of the builds I mentioned above.
