Sansa Clip Zip at powerup
(1/1)
oblivion:
A (hopefully) quick question: I just bought a Clip Zip to replace my old Clip + whose battery doesn't quite hold the charge it used to, Rockboxed it (3.13) before doing anything much else and have three questions:
1. Is it possible to make it resume playback at powerup the way the Clip + does?
2. Is it likely that the newest Sandisk firmware (as opposed to a version back) will be supported, or does it matter much if it isn't?
3. USB still seems unsafe -- at least, it crashed my Zip on disconnection when I tried it -- so is it likely to stay the case that I should always boot into the Sansa firmware before connecting via USB?
4. (Yes, I know I said 3!) Not a question, more a comment: Rockbox is awesome, and I don't know what I'd do without it!
Astrogoth:
1. I dunno Davey.
2. They don't talk since the divorce.
3. Try turning off Auto Update in Settings ->General Settings -> Database
4. Be sure you run the latest dev firmware. The release version doesn't work, or sound as well.
I traded my Sport for an older Zip. Yes!
