Automatic Resume Behavior on Sansa Clip+ w/ 3.13

When I setup for car adapter stop/start with a Sansa Clip+ w/ 3.13  the player restarts at track 1. Please read through FS#12864. The messages there explain the issue better then I can.  FYI - Same setup on my Sansa Zip Clip has always worked perfectly.

From FS#12864 it appears I can revert to 3.12 or try a developmental build. If FS#12864 does not indicate a fix, how likely is it that the developmental build will solve this problem? If I revert to 3.12 or try a developmental build, is it safe to just install the build or must I uninstall Rockbox completely and reinstall?

I've LOVE Rockbox on my Zip Clip and went out of my way to buy an obsolete (but available) Clip+ just so I could load Rockbox to get the car adapter mode.  Oh well.

Try a newer build?  I don't think many people even remember whats changed since 3.13 at this point
