Sandisk Sansa Click Zip
« on: April 28, 2015, 03:25:35 AM »
Hi all, this is my first post and I am in trouble! While I was working with a lot of
USB devices, I managed to format my Sandisk Clip Zip Mp3 player , I wondered if
any of you guys knew where I could download the original system files for this device.?

Any help much appreciated.

Kind regards

There are no real system files on the Zip's user accessible storage.  Just some folders that will be recreated automatically if you reboot.

If you mean rockbox, you can just download a build and extract it to your player, or use the installer to reinstall it.

Hi, Thanks for your response.
Perhaps you may be able to help me further.
when the player is plugged in the display shows :- "Loading firmware File not found Rockbox Boot 4.0"
After a short while the display blanks.
When unplugged the display shows :- "File not found"
After a short while the display shows :- "Plug USB cable"
That stays until the player is reset (I hold the top button in).

Thanks again for your interest in my problem.

Kind Regards

Reboot into the Sandisk firmware and then reinstall the main rockbox build. You don't need the bootloader.

Hold left when booting.  BTW the manual covers things like this.
