Sansa clip + crashes

(1/1)

Eingya:
I installed rockbox on an old sansa clip + I had in the house, but it keep crashing whatever i do with it, giiving me "Prefetch Abort" and "undefined instruction" errors (i have to keep the power button pressed to close it then)

If I try to startup the original firmwar (left+power) it stays stuck on the sansa logo

can someone help?

saratoga:
As a last resort, there is also a USB bootloader mode.  If you hold the center button down with the device powered off and then plug it into USB (still holding the button) can you get it to mount in windows?  If so, check the file system for errors.

Oh, I can mount it to windows fine, problem is when I try to play music with it, there it crashes (already tried installing and unistalling the firmware, result's always the same)

How do I check the file system of the sansa for errors?

Eingya:
Managed to check the file system, it did find some errors and fixed them, but the mp3 still crashes continuously (although now when I boot it in original firmware mode it seems t run smoothly). Even tried uninstalling rockbox and installing it once again, but nothing seems to be solved.

Eingya:
No one has any idea what's the problem? D: is the player definitevely broken? (I needed rockbox because the volume button is broken. meaning i cannot use it in non-rockbox mode)
