(1/1)

RegFedder:
Hi,
I have several Sansa that I have install rockbox , by the way this is excellent software , and all files music that have 2GB or more size cannot been play , and the sansa write error file , why rockbox cannot play that files ?how can I fix it ?

Thanks.

wodz:
I vaguely remember 2GB per file being FAT32 limitation.

saratoga:
I believe the file limit in rockbox in general is 2GB due to 32 signed file pointers.

Edit:  Although I'm surprised it doesn't play.  I'd expect it to work until it got up to the 2GB limit.

wodz:
Right, fat hard limit is 4GB indeed. Still I seem to remember our implementation is limited to 2GB files.

You really need to use an uncompressed one big track? Why you don't use a lossless or lossy compression? Why you don't use a separate tracks instead of one big track?
