After installation attempt on Sansa Fuze: Not enough room for Music DB

(1/1)

cyclopsdreamer:
I cannot find the FAQs for my Sansa Fuze nor could I find the specific topic so I'm posting here. I cannot tell the version of my player because my current problem prevents me from accessing the players info. I am running Windows XP Pro V. 2002 SP3.
Some years ago I tried to install Rockbox and ran into a problem. I don;t remember the steps , but I was left with a player that has no music on it and I cannot access the menu or controls nor the original firmware. As it boots up a message in a pink rectangle states Not enough room for Music DB please free 90MB. However, there is nothing on the player except some folders which I see when it's connected to the PC. I tried to boot up to the original firmware by holding the left button while powering on but no luck.

When connected to my PC the player shows a a removeable drive. I had used  the Rockbox Utility to remover Rockbox but that did not change things as far as I could see.
These are th folders currently on the player:
.Spotlight-V100
Audible
Audiobooks
Music
Photo
Podcasts
Record
Video

The other items are:
DID.bin
fuzpa.bin
MTABLE.SYS
RES_INFO.SYS
SYS_CONFIG.SYS
verson.sdk (could not open to determine player's version)
VIDEO_BM.SYS

I don;t know what other info to include or where to look on the Rockbox site.  I want to restore the player and install Rockbox or return to the original firmware.
Thanks you for your help
