Help with some iPod 4th Gen Color issues

Issues:

1. Rockboxed iPod 4G Color will not mount in a Windows pc when plugged while in Rockbox UI. It will mount when
  it is in Apple Original UI.

2. Sometimes, when I switch from Apple UI back to Rockbox, the Files folder is empty. All I see is a highlighted areaa that I can stroll.

I've restored the iPod in iTunes and reinstalled Rockbox. No. 2 is ok for now. I need to understand No.1

I haven't heard of the files problem, but which version or build are you running?
