Clip Sport: Hardware recovery mode
« on: March 31, 2015, 12:22:42 PM »
I was wondering if anybody knew a way to force a clip sport into recovery mode using the board. For example, you can do this by connecting and shorting two leads on the front side of the Clip+ board. I am still learning my way around the hardware and software on these things.

I am fairly new at this so I guess I am not sure if I was clear on what I was looking for. I essentially was looking for the unbricking recovery pins on a clip sport.

Thanks for the thread link. I guess I am not the only one with this issue and it appears there is no fix. Thats a shame. Its like there is not real recovery mode at all. God forbid it bricks.

There is a recovery mode but we just don't know what to do with it, it uses a proprietary, undocumented protocol. In theory the device is probably unbrickable.
