Turn On 6th Gen 120GB Ipod Classic with Rockbox

So after a lot of fear and struggle, I just managed to install Rockbox on my Ipod Classic 6th Gen 120GB.

I'd like to use this topic to give hope to anyone with my device, since despite what you've read in a lot of forums and posts, IT IS actually possible to install Rockbox in this model.

The thing is now, I seem to have to turn on and off the device by pressing Menu+Select for 3-5 seconds (which i recall to be the way to reset it?

Am I doing something wrong?

Anyone else with the same unsupported device having the same issue?

Can this damage my Ipod?

I also tried Doom (the game) and I can't find any way to quit it!!!

Have you tried the HOLD switch? If that doesn't work either something is wrong with the hold switch driver (which has been reported), or your hold switch is damaged.
