USB serial port on c200/e200 ?
« on: March 18, 2015, 12:04:49 PM »
I'd like to be able to talk bidirectionally to Rockbox over the Sandisk USB cable to one or more plugins.

It appears that Rockbox can at least _write_ log info ("logf" ??) on a serial link to a host Linux system via the Sandisk USB cable.

Can Rockbox also _read_ from this USB serial link?

Hi,
yes it can but this is mostly unimplemented. By this I that the although the rockbox usb_serial driver implement receive data, it is stored in a (small) buffer and there is no function to retrieve its content. So at this point, this is unusable unless you enhance the usb_serial driver.
