Tracks Play for a few secconds before skipping to the next track
« on: March 15, 2015, 11:19:11 PM »
I have a Fuze Plus (Rockboxed) and a FAT32 128gb micro-sd card and when I play any audio from the micro-sd card the above happens. The internal storage plays fine and I tried an 8gb sd card and it also worked. Is there any way to fix this or should I buy a card with less storage. I also cannot access the card via USB when it is inside the Fuze.

If you put the card into a PC (not through rockbox), do the tracks play?

I also just noticed that if I try to copy something to the microSD card from within the device, I get a white screen.

Tracks Play for a few secconds before skipping to the next track(MicroSD problem

I have an Ultra Microsdxc 128gb(fat32) and  I am trying to use it with a Fuze+ with rockbox and the above happens. Is there any known SD incompatibilities with this player or is it just my card that is not working.

I fixed that problem by using external card reader instead of using player as card reader (my player is sansa clip+). I don't understand why external card reader fixed my problem. May be because player incorrectly writes files when you use officially unsupported large sd cards, but I didn't check that.

So try there option:
1) Use external card reader (my card reader officially supports large sd cards).
2) Reformat sd card and download your songs again using external card reader.

I don't use the player as a card reader, but I do use a microsdhc converter to format it, could it be the problem taking into account that my card is microsdxc?

They should be backward compatible. In theory you just lost a speed gain and incompatible filesystem (exFat instead of FAT32) if you uses SDXC as a SDHC.  But after that issue I not fully sure, need to do some tests to find out what causes a real problem in my issue that similar with your.
