Having trouble building database.
I got it to work (to my great surprise!) perfectly well on a modded ipod mini. I thought 40,000 tracks with whatever limited RAM the ipod mini has might not work, but it worked very easily.
Flushed with this success I tried to do it on my ssd ipod video (which surely has more on-board RAM?), but on that it just hangs on 'committing database (1/9)' forever.
I was thinking maybe that is because my ipod video has all the music files of the mini, plus a load of audiobooks and podcasts, and perhaps that is too much for it to cope with?
So maybe if I could tell it to only database the music folder and not bother with the audiobooks and podcasts, it would have less trouble. I really don't need the non-music content to be databased. Is there any way to do that?
Alternatively, is there any other reason why the video might be hanging on the database build when the mini can do it fine?
Thanks.
Edit - am using the most recent build (downloaded two days ago). Ideally I'd like to limit the database build to just the 'Music' folder as opposed to the 'Audiobooks' and 'Podcasts' folders.
