Playback Question + B&W Zepplin Issue
« on: March 10, 2015, 10:58:24 AM »
Hello.  A newbie to Rockbox.  Very happy with the product.  I am running it on a Classic 80GB.  I have roughly 2000 mp3 files with tight starts and stops.  What is the best way to accomplish the 1-2 second delay between tracks playing?  I hate the dead space.  I assume that I could utilize the CROSSFASE setting to accomplish this, but I do not like the fade in and out.  What settings would I use to have the next track start quicker than 2 seconds --- so in otherwords, lessen the 1-2 second space between tracks?  Any help appreciated.

Also, I am finding that docking the iPod on my B&W Zepplin results in the player going into USB mode and not playing.  I am having to use the AUX input on the Zepplin and a line out cord.  Is there a fix for this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Assuming the files were gapless on the CD, all you need to do is use a modern gapless mp3/vorbis/flac/whatever encoder and they'll play the same as the CD.  If they weren't gapless to begin with, there is not much you can do besides maybe crossfading.

I don't think USB detection is fully implemented on the classic, so if it misdetects the dock as a USB host, you can hold a button while inserting to go into charge mode (basically, ignore USB devices).
