No, it would not shut down, no matter how long I held it.
I opened the case to see if I could disconnect the battery, but one of the wires broke off. The blue wire is connected to the leftmost of 3 posts. The red wire broke off. Not sure which of the 2 other posts it broke off from.
But breaking the wire of course shut it down. I am able to plug it into the USB of my computer and it starts to boot into rockbox but then goes to the image of a usb plug again. My computer never got as far as installling the correct driver for the rockbox, so the computer won't recognize the device. At this point, I would like to be able to get back to Rockbox Utility to remove rockbox, but the computer won't recongize the device, so I'm stumped. Anyone have any ideas? The device does power up from USB. Is there some way to manually install drivers for the Sansa clip+ for my computer so that the device might be recognized?
