Bookmarks should remember everything
(1/1)
nerdrunner:
I hope that this isn't addressed elsewhere.
I'm running 3.13 on a Sansa C200, and I mostly listen to podcasts (not music).
I often listen at > normal speed -- i.e., upwards of 150% of normal speed (thx to whomever implemented this w/o changing the pitch!).
I also sometimes use the equalizer function to make the speech easier to understand.
Q: can bookmarks be expanded to "remember" speed/pitch & equalizer settings across power-downs?
Ideally, if one resumes from where one left off after a power cycle, it would be best to restore all playback settings. In fact, it would be nice to remember different playback settings for different files, so you wouldn't have to necessarily resume to the same file; this means that every bookmark should remember all audio settings.

IIRC bookmarks will store pitch/speed settings, but not EQ.
[Saint]:
Can it be?
Yes.
Could I put any realistic time frame on it that isn't "some time between now and never"?
No.
Your best bet at the moment would be to use custom configs to adjust the EQ, pitch, and playback speed as required, possibly in combination with a fixed.cfg to reset the configuration to a known state at each boot. Our fine manual can assist you with both of these things.

At least for 3.13, the pitch/speed settings are not remembered across power off/power on.
Or if they are, pitch/speed settings are not properly initialized on power on.

They reset on power off, however, if you resume a bookmark they will be changed for that specific file IIRC.
