Sansa Fuze+ Will Not Boot
tugadaq:
Bootloader USB mode
Files are visible on PC.
Windows found errors with checkdisk, but the file fragments are text relating to specific music and obviously not part of a binary or system file.
Player will not respond to any type of reset.
Any help would be appreciated.

This happens when you delete the .rockbox (with dot) folder from internal memory. That folder contains firmware. In order to fix that just download firmware and unpack to internal memory.

Thanks for the reply, but no go.
saratoga:
Does the Sandisk firmware boot? If the rockbox bootloader works its probably working too since they're stored together.

On external power (usb as a power source only, no computer), it boots and operates for perhaps 10 to 20 seconds then shuts down and then restarts and repeats the cycle. It will not turn on with internal battery. With usb from computer it goes to the black screen with the following message:
Boot version: 1.0
arg=CAFEBABE addr=40000000
USB: Connecting
Bootloader USB mode.
Battery voltage on battery measures 3.18 volts across outer terminals. There is a third (middle terminal) battery wire. I am not sure of its purpose. It measures 2.91 volts to one of the terminals and 0 to the other.
