Hi

thank you all.

So do you think I just have to open the player and reconnect a cable ?
I think I don't have the right tools. Maybe I can give it to a mechanic.

Can you tell which cable has to be checked (colour) ?

Fotos welcome !

Thank you.

Not a cable...no.  If it is what Linus and I suggested it may be, then re-soldering the connections between the usb daughterboard and the mainboard may fix the problem...but one screw-up and your toy is dead, so I wouldn't do it unless you know what you're doing.  There are photos of the iriver pcb in the wiki.

Hi,

ok now that the wiki is back I found the pictures.

But as I don't really understand the construction maybe you could help me once more.

Could anyone please send me the pictures of the ATA/USB board and mark the places where I should check the soldering ?

Just to be sure I'm working on the right components.

Thank you very much.

Sorry,

forgot to add my E-Mail:

Thank you very much.

If you look at the USB daughterboard, the connectors that usually come loose are the two 30-pin connectors named J1 and J2. Either they are loose, or their counterparts on the main board.
