Sansa Clip Zip SD Card Compatibility
« on: January 04, 2015, 05:53:56 PM »
Hi,

I've been using a Sansa Clip Zip with Rockbox for a few years now. I've been using a Sandisk 32 GB micro SD card for music and recently ran out of space. So I bought a 64GB ADATA micro SD card to replace it, but after loading it with files and slotting it in I found that the player doesn't recognize the sd card. If I slot the old micro sd card in that one works fine. Is there any way to get the new card working as well?

Thanks

The sd specification dictates that this card should come formatted as exFAT, which we do not support.

You will need to format the volume as FAT32, be advised, however, that Windows operating systems will try very hard to not let you do this with their native solutions, so a third party tool set may be required.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

Yes, formatting it to Fat32 solved the issue! Thanks for the quick responses!  :)
