Sansa ClipZip Installation Error
ra667:
Hi,
I'm a very new at this and got a Sansa Clip Zip player for Xmas I wanted to load with Rockbox.
I installed with the Rockbox Utility and everything was fine. It has a 64gb card in and when I tried to build the database it hung at 10474 files and now after a power off reset I am unable to get past a the "Rockbox v 3.13" title screen.
I'm worried I've got in over my head and have now broken my ClipZip.
Can anyone help???
saratoga:
Worst case you can boot into the sandisk firmware or bootloader USB made and fix the file system or delete and recopy over the .rockbox folder.
However, 3.13 is very old at this point (2013). The development build is probably going to work a lot better until we get around to releasing a new stable version.

It also wont connect to my Windows 7 laptop by USB. It just isn't recognized.
How do i boot into the SanDisk Firmware?
Sorry... I'm a total amateur.
saratoga:
IIRC when booting holding center gives you bootloader USB mode, and holding left gives you the sandisk firmware during. Check the manual if that doesn't work.

Thanks for that.
I've managed to load the Sansa Firmware but having trouble getting it to recognize on my PC as a mass storage device (just the SansaClip player where I can't see the rockbox firmware).
I'll have a look in the morning as I'm in the UK to try and get it working.
