They won't, and no you haven't.
--- Quote from: LeoTheLion89 on December 29, 2014, 09:58:06 PM ---How is it that Rockbox ISN'T made stable for Philips Players yet other less-popular or less-heard of players have stable builds?
--- End quote ---
The quality of a port depends on the interest in working on it. If someone has a device and wants to work on it, they may make a very stable port. We have had people show up and do work on devices that are basically one of a kind, no other person can even run the software.
--- Quote from: LeoTheLion89 on December 29, 2014, 09:58:06 PM ---And why is there new "Daily builds" for a player that is unstable and has no code change at all in said builds?
--- End quote ---
Daily builds are compiled every day by a script. They are exactly what the name says, a build that is compiled daily. If the code can compile, you will get a build every day.
LeoTheLion89:
is there any particular reason that the origin of this post is being ignored? as i have stated:
--- Quote ---I never had a problem with my HDD1830/17B. I never had any Kernel Panics ever nor did i have the problem where the player would simply NOT play anything at all when powered on Via Car Adaptor Mode.
What I DON'T understand is why all of the sudden? Why is it the the BoxAmp theme worked perfectly fine for over a year than once these KPs stated to happen that the BoxAmp "Now Playing" screen has disappeared and turned into a failsafe screen but EVERY other part of the theme works perfect?
--- End quote ---
Also the reason behind these Kernel Panics have still not been explained! If these KPs were due to it being a unstable bulid i would of had it from the getgo on BOTH my HDD1830/17B AND my HDD6330/17 from the getgo.
Someone will take the time to MAKE rockbox work on these players yet wont bother to take the time to make stable builds?

See my answer to you the last time you started a thread asking why no one was working on your player:

I find your position that the Phillips players are in some way popular kind of amusing.
Anyway - even if they are popular with users, that has absolutely NO impact on how popular they are with developers.
The very short answer to all this, basically, is if it is that important to you then you should look into improving the situation for yourself (and the multitude of other Phillips users that apparently highly care about this, of which I'm incredibly sceptical) instead of barking at others and expecting them to do so.
