iPod Classic 6G 160GB:
« on: December 22, 2014, 09:06:45 PM »
I've had rockbox installed on my 6G for a fair while now, and apart from the minor hiccups that come with the territory of an unstable build, it's behaved admirably. Due to rather tragic recent events, my old computer was destroyed, and much of my personal data along with it. I was dismayed at the loss of my music library, most of all, until I remembered that it resided on my iPod. However, I can't seem to get Windows to recognize the iPod on this new computer; Every time I plug it in, it gives a "device not recognized error". I can't run the ipod classic bootstrap because the 6G already has rockbox on it and won't be recognized. I'd rather not have to sacrifice my music library to fix this, so can anyone give me any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
