boardgame go
« on: June 19, 2006, 10:07:41 PM »
Since I noticed there was a game of chess with AI implemented as a plug-in for the rockbox firmware, I was wondering if there was any chance that the boardgame go would be implemented as well in the near future.
It would be really great if you could play go while listening to music on the X5.

Go is considered one of the most difficult boardgames (if not the most difficult) to create an AI for. With the limited processing power of the X5 and other Rockbox targets, and the complexity of the board and potential amount of moves, while Go could easily be made, you'd probably end up with either a very limited AI, or one that could end up taking painfully long periods of time between moves.
