iPod Classic Gen6 Building/Updated Database Issue

Hi guys! I'm new here. Just recently installed Rockbox on my iPod Classic.
When I tried to first build the database, the system would sort of crash back to the emCORE startup screen. And then repeat that, but with the added bonus of the "beautiful" sound of the HDD resetting. This would occur until I plugged the Classic into USB, after which I'd be able to exit from this absurd event. This also occurs subsequently, any time I try to fully update the database.

My first assumption is that something on my iPod is causing the crash. Maybe a file type that causes problems?

What are your thoughts?

EDIT: It seems that starting the database update and then plugging into USB immediately keeps it from dropping into a reset-loop. Perhaps this could help us understand the problem?
