Attempted to update my Sandisk e250 with latest Rockbox (V3.13) and have error

(1/1)

rahulshankar:
Attempted to install the rockbox firmware (first time doing so).
Mine is a sansa e250 v 1
Followed instructions to the T.
Tried to boot it up and it gets stuck on the "scanning disk..." part.
Have to manually take out battery for it to restart. Cannot get PC to detect the USB device either.
Have also attempted the suggestion of "you can bypass the OF database refresh by connecting your player via usb and disconnecting it just after the Sandisk logo appears on the screen". This has proven unsuccessful as well. I have tried this on numerous occasions and it still takes me back to the same screen of "scanning disk...".
Read other threads and i could not find a solution to this issue.
How can i get my PC to detect my sansa again and how i can go abouts installing Rockbox successfully?
Flying out in a few days so would like it fixed if possible prior that!

Thanks in advance.

rahulshankar:
I figured out how to reboot and get it connected via usb through this link:
http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaE200Unbrick#Recovery_Mode

I then put the original firmware in and tried installing it both automatically and manually.
Both still in vain. No matter what i do i still get "scanning disk" on booting up with Rockbox.
Is the sandisk e250v1 not compatible with this version?

rahulshankar:
All sorted now!
Did a format and tried to re-install and it worked :-)
