Well, it does expect a moderate level of computer knowledge, and WorkingWithPatches also assumes you've already gone through the steps to learn to compile Rockbox.

Patches are incomplete features. They really exist more for developers to work on, and for people to test and improve, than for end-users.

i don't think i've ever compiled rockbox, so never mind all of this. i'll just wait till everything is completely complete. ;D
