Change ALPS navigation joystick on ihp1xx ?

Has someone changed ALPS navigation joystick no the ihp1xx?

I have bought a replacement but I'm not so sure how to make the change as effortless as possible.

I also would appreciate some info on how to change if someone do know how to change the thump peace (handle) of my old joystick to my new ALPS joystick-switch.
