Sansa Fuze Frozen
« on: November 19, 2014, 03:35:56 PM »
I have a 4GB Sansa Fuze V2, and when I tried to use the mp3encoder plugin, the player displayed a message about wavopen failing, as far as I recall. After that, the system crashed, displaying an error message about "Dividing by zero," and now the player does not respond at all, and appears to be off. Nothing happens if I plug it into a computer.

This happened in the past when I was playing the default FreeDOOM WAD, and I had to wait for the battery to lose its charge. When I plugged it into a computer, it returned to normal.

Is there is a key combination to force the player to hard reset?
Also, is there a way to prevent this from happening again? The player works fine when I use the usual plugins, such as most of the games, the video viewer, and of course the music player.

I held the power switch in the ON position for thirty seconds, then tried to turn it on like usual, but nothing happened. After that, I tried plugging it into a computer, but still, nothing happened. I may just have to wait for the battery to die...

I have a Sansa *Fuze*, not the e200. The Fuze is a real pain to open, and the battery is soldered in.

UPDATE: My player's battery finally died, so it turned on when I plugged it in, and seems to be working normally. It is annoying that the hard reset doesn't work when the player freezes, because it makes it unusable for about 1.5 days.
