iPod Classic 6th Gen, dev build v.791be56-141031, hung in "scanning disk"

Yesterday I was able to successfully install RB on iPod Classic 6th Gen, using emCORE, but got CRC errors while loading the 80GB HD with music. Windows 7 wanted to reformat the HD, but I ran cmd>chkdsk /f /r, & got an error msg, & it failed to complete chkdsk. Today RB is hung all morning in "scanning disk." I can't map the drive to reformat it in Win Explorer. Suggestions to get the drive mapped, to reformat it?

Nevermind, I was able to get into DFU, map & restore iPod back to default with iTunes. Ran chkdsk /f /r successfully, no errors. Rebuilding RB + emCORE, just have to reload all the flac Gbs lost. oh well...

rebuilt dev RB + emCORE, RB runs fine, loaded music, HD corrupts files again, & chkdsk /r /f hangs. Accidentally formatted iPod in RB. Now RB is hung:

I can't turn it off, nor select+menu to reboot. It's hung / hosed, real id10t error. pls help.

LOL, this id10t just needs to unlock the hold switch. reloading dev RB + emCORE, then flacs...
