jukebox recorder V1 remote

Hi, I have a Jukebox Recorder with latest Rockbox (10/30/2014) installed.  I have had it shelved for quite a while but now I am interested in it again because of the SPDIF output and using a FIIO DAC and a portable tube headphone amp.  I also found my six button earphone inline remote.  But the remote does not work.  Is the remote no longer supported by Rockbox?
