Unable to customize menu 3.13 on (SanDisk Sansa) Clip+
gordonmcdowell:
Sorry I should have included an example of me trying to eliminate radio. My config.cfg is...
root menu order:files,recording,database,wps,settings,playlists,plugins,system_menu
...and that's in .rockbox and I'm able to load it, restart the device... I see no change to menu at all. Not just radio is always there, but I can't move up recording either.
Is there anyone here with a Clip+ that confirm I'm crazy or not? Even better, a RockBox developer I can grovel to who owns one? I'll order someone one from a refurbish seller via eBay? Or send one to you in the mail?
I mean there's 2 distinct problems... the menu I can't seem to customize... and the audio sync... so at this point I'm willing to acknowledge I might be doing something really dumb, and would love to confirm these are real problems for someone else.

Maybe there's some fluctuation down at the smaller decimal values, but I've never had a better fix than by adjusting rate to 100.04% in the editing package (Premiere Pro CC... for many revisions... and this also happens in Sony Vegas).

It definitely drifts over time. One hundred of one percent stability isn't bad for a cheap device, although I suspect it is drifting more than you realize if you're just matching recording times over a long interval. The clock itself can be adjusted, although probably not as finely as you want.
