I may have mucked up my Clip Zip +
« on: October 19, 2014, 02:04:43 AM »
I have the 4GB Sansa with a 32GB microSD card.  Currently there are just over 5,000 tracks (450 on the Sansa, 4550+ on the SD).  I have a playlist containing all tracks in the /playlists folder, titled MUSIC.m3u8.  (It's neatly alphabetized and everything, the result of a long weekend of shuffling lines in Notepad.)  Until recently, adding tracks was a simple matter of copy/paste to the SD card -- the Sansa itself is within 400 MB of full -- and adding the track names to MUSIC, then updating the database in the background.  This apparently no longer works -- the "X of Y" indicator on WPS never increments Y --  so I must assume that I changed a setting that I shouldn't have.   (There's about 3.5 GB left on SD, so I don't think it's a space issue.)  Max database size is set to 7,000.  Suggestions are welcomed.

Check you config file in the .rockbox folder and see if theres any unexpected settings.  My guess would be the part mode feature, which basically disables the controls during playlists.

Didn't see anything about part(y) mode, but the setting for playlist catalog directory was blank.  I'll key in the path -- appears to be /Playlists: -- and will go from there.  Thanks.
