remember playlist position

When my sansa clip zip runs out of battery and shuts down, the position in the playlist is lost. So I have a playlist with some 7500 songs and whenever this happens i have to search for the position where i was, i even check the song number myself everytime i put it off for when this happens.
Can't rockbox save this position more often, for instance at the beginning of a song?
