Trouble creating playlists

(1/1)

Jarred:
Hello,

First off, I will apologize in advance for being a total newb idiot.  I thought I was semi-technologically adept until I tried to figure out how to use RB.  Ha-ha!  I've Rockboxed my Sansa e280 v2, and I'm not sure if everything is working as it should be or I'm just too thick to figure it out.   I have a few different issues, but I guess I'll have to post each of them in the proper thread, but my most pressing problem is that I'm having trouble making a playlist of my entire database.  I was somehow able to do it once, but I tried so many things that I can't remember how I did it.  Anyway,  I added more music to my player, and I assumed that whatever I added would not appear in the playlist, so I somehow figured out how to delete that playlist (again, tried a lot of things and can't remember how to do it again) and now I need to make a playlist again, but I keep going around in circles.   I've read and re-read the manual but what I see on my screen doesn't seem to match what it says.... Wait!  I just figured out if I just select "Artist"  or "Album Artist" that I can simply select "All" at the top and it will play all of my songs--and I've already selected the playback to be shuffled, so I think that's a workaround if you can't make a playlist of your entire database.  But if someone wants to help me figure out how to create a playlist using my entire database, that would be great.  At least I can still listen to tunes in the meantime.   Thanks!

The "All" in the database creates a playlist of all files AFAIK.  If you're asking how to save it, I believe you can just bring up the context menu and choose save playlist.
