Port to AAA-powered Voice recorders?

Hey into the community,

has anyone ever tried to port rockbox to one of the "newer" voice recorders, like the Olympus WS-811 (http://www.olympus-europa.com/site/en/a/audio_systems/audio_recording/stereo_recorders/ws_811/index.html)? Newer as compared to the old Archos devices which can also run from standard batteries.

I own such an WS-811, and it's great; battery lifetime more than 20 hours with one eneloop-AAA-NiMH. Although this device is mainly meant for recording (so it has better microphone quality and stereo mics, as compared to devices which are mainly meant for playback), it can also do playback.

Just want to know if there were tryouts on parting rockbox to any newer AAA-powered device.
