FF/RW settings not working for rewind

I'm having trouble getting the FF/RW MIN STEP and FF/RW ACCEL controls to work when rewinding a track. I have FF/RW MIN STEP set to 8 sec and FF/RW ACCEL set to very fast. Fast-forwarding through a track works as expected but rewinding appears to be using a 3 sec step and normal accel. Anyone know why this isn't working as expected?

I'm using Rockbox 3.13 on a SanDisk Sansa Clip+
