First post, I think this is in the right spot.
Backstory:
So, I have been using WinAmp for years. 10+. I know my way around it.
That said, I have been syncing a 240gb iPod Classic with it for a year or two now. Everything works fine. However, I recently put some spare parts together, and produced another functioning but basically stock 160gb Classic. So I decided to install RockBox to experiment with it, since I plan on going solid-state in my next build, and wanted to use RockBox with it.
Question/Concern:
As said, I always synced with Winamp, so after installing RockBox and confirming everything works, I decided to sync a couple playlists through WinAmp. However, the uploading is...I guess you could say....erratic. It will sync as many as 20 tracks, or as few as one. Then it will pause for~30-60 seconds, before syncing another track. And so on. If I add the files manually via Windows, the transfer speed is pretty constant at ~10.6mb/sec. No pauses or delays, even when syncing as much as 80gb of music at once. But, it just constantly hangs up when using WinAmp. Ive played around with the setting in RockBox a bit, but just cant seem to come up with any combination that will let it steadily transfer files to it. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions? I would greatly prefer to be able to use WinAmp, and not have to manually add/update/delete music & playlists if possible.
Before you ask, with the stock OS on the iPod, yes I can sync to it with WinAmp properly, but as soon as I install RockBox, file transfer thru WinAmp becomes an issue.
