Loading firmware file not found
matthewgordon:
Hi,
I installed the stable version of rockbox 3.13 to my sansa clip +.
When I turn on the player i get the error Loading firmware file not found on a rockbox screen.
I can turn the device off and then boot up in sansa more holding left and this works great.. but I would love to use rockbox.
Any ideas?
Ive tried the usual retry reboot reinstall
Thanks
saratoga:
That usually means you installed the bootloader but not rockbox. Reboot into the sandisk firmware, change the USB mode to MSC, run the installer, point it at the drive letter for the player, and then install rockbox.

Thanks for this... tried these things already without any luck.
Ill keep trying...
Thanks again

If you try again and it doesn't work, post a link to the log file rbutil can generate and someone can probably tell you what's going on. Use pastebin if needed for the log.

It is also highly possible that you may be installing to the μSD card (or perhaps even a system volume on the host machine) accidentally, as opposed to installing to the internal storage volume.
Auto detection of mount points with Rockbox Utility is sometimes incorrect, it always pays to make sure the auto detected mount point is correct.
