Car reciever not recognizing SD card on Rockbox'd Sansa Clip.

(1/1)

kmplsv:
For some reason, my car stereo (Pioneer DEH P7200HD) is only recognizing audio files on the internal storage portion of my Sansa Clip+ 8GB player. I'm using a USB connector from the Sansa to the USB port on my stereo. I figured I should just be able to plug the Sansa in and see the "microsd1" listed like it is listed when it isn't plugged into my stereo. Instead, only files saved to the local storage are listed. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something special I need to do? Can stereos only read from the local storage? As soon as I unplug it from the stereo and check, the "microsd1" option shows up on my Sansa and it allows me to play everything without a problem. This issue occurs with the stock Sansa firmware as well. I'm not sure if it matters (considering playback is not an issue aside from when the unit is connected to my stereo), but the SD card I'm using is a SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

gevaerts:
Many car stereos apparently only support one drive on USB devices. There's not much we can do about that, unfortunately.

However, we do have a setting to hide the internal storage over usb ("USB Hide Internal Drive", in the system settings) to work around this issue. Enabling that will allow your car stereo to read the SD card.

You'll have to turn this setting back off to access the internal storage from your computer of course.
