Cant boot into rock box

Im having issues booting into the menu of rockbox it hangs on the rock box logo need some help fixing it thank you

Have you tried re-installing Rockbox?

If so, install default firmware to go back to factory settings ..then install Rockbox.

last i remember i tired to boot into the menu and couldnt and also my computer didnt see my ipod any thoughts?

No, don't do this, as it is completely and totally unnecessary.

This would not accomplish anything that couldn't be achieved by much easier means. Granted, you probably weren't aware of that at the time you posted your response, but, now you are.

1 - First thing to try is wiping the device config.
     There's several ways to do this:
     - Engage hold during boot.
     - Mount the device using the embedded Rockbox fallback image supplied by emCORE and remove /.rockbox/config.cfg manually
     - Boot into the emCORE main menu and select Tools; Clear Rockbox configuration.

2 - Second thing to try here is installing an updated binary.
     (this may also require booting from the embedded fallback image as described above)

3 - If neither of the above bear fruit, one could try installing an updated binary after first removing the /.rockbox directory in its entirety.
     (this may also also require booting from the embedded fallback image as described above)

4 - OK, so, here we are. None of the above worked. Its time to check the device's file system for error. This process is very specific to your operating system.
     Linux (Debian-esque systems)
     Mac
     Windows
Assuming you have your media backed up elsewhere (which, I hope you do), its completely safe to let any of the above file system checks walk over your files and attempt to repair any discrepancies it may find.

However...

It may be the case that if the file system is severely damaged, that a complete recovery isn't possible. If you have your media backed up elsewhere, this isn't problematic at all, if you do not have your media backed up elsewhere, then you just learned a valuable lesson about removable storage volumes and archival.

If you do have a full backup of your media, and it wasn't possible to fully recover the file system, you may find it easier to simply format the volume and start from scratch. emCORE presents its own utility in order to achieve this via emCORE Manin Menu -> Tools -> Reformat data partition, but you are free to use whatever disk management utility you desire in order to achieve this. The only requirement is that the storage volume must be formatted as FAT32.

Obviously if you do format the volume, you will need to install a new Rockbox binary, you'll find this linked above.

having issues when i get my ipod to turn off compelety it doesnt show up but when i load bootstrap exe my ipod turns on from it and then i get a Usbm device 64mb show up then when im in rockbox utility shows up as mounted usbm

You clearly demonstrated that you already have emCORE installed, so why on earth are you messing around with UMSboot and bootstrap again?

I don't recall anyone telling you to do so, or suggesting this as a valid option.

If you're going to reply to my post with something that completely disregards everything I had said, and go off on your own tangent, what good is it asking for support in the first place? Why did I bother?
