Sansa e260 with Rockbox 3.13 build 5b08f1a . . . maximum GB capacity
(1/1)
CurlySue:
Hi all! :)
While Sandisk's specs state a 2GB maximum external SD card, I know Rockbox can handle more - currently I am using a 4GB card for a total of 8GB.
Recently, I decided to rip to FLAC and (of course) that's eating up the internal 4GB as well as the external SD Card.
Prior to buying an 8GB or better yet a 16GB high-capacity SD Card, I want to confirm what Rockbox 3.13's limit is? Hopefully it's 16GB (or larger) for a total of 20GB or more.
Thanks in advance for your replies and support.

WOO HOO!! ;D
Thanks for the quick response and GREAT info, Saratoga!!
I did not find a reference when I read and then searched the manual . . . is it in there, and I simply read over it or missed it completely?
Thanks again!
With kindest regards,
CurlySue :)

That's simply the upper limit the SD specification can address.
Its important to note, however, that 128GB SD cards have only recently entered the mass consumer market, and that fabrication challenges mean that we will almost certainly never see SD media that is anywhere close to approaching the 2TB upper limit.
