Audio playback seems off

During audio playback on my Sanddisk Sansa Clip+  audio plays incorrectly. The vocals, on tracks that have them, are washed out and faded-- they sound quieter and glitchier than the backing track. Any advice on fixing this issue? Thanks.

Do you have the Karaoke mode set in Sound Settings > Channels?
