Sansa Clip Plus not charging or powering on consistently
(1/1)
Serenity:
I hope someone has had experience with this. I bought a Sansa Clip Plus off eBay.
If I let it sit a few days and press the power button, I'll get the Sansa logo and a "low battery" warning, and it will turn off. After that it's unresponsive until it sits a few more days.
When I connect it to a computer, Windows 7 recognized it once as having no valid filesystem, and after that it said it could not find drivers. Now the Sansa won't connect at all. My Windows 7 laptop also couldn't load drivers. I have the Sansa updater installed on the laptop from when I upgraded the OF on my Clip Zip before Rockboxing it.
When I plug the Sansa into a USB charger (5V, 2.1A) it does not respond and doesn't seem to charge, even when left to charge overnight.
I have re-soldered the battery wires--no change in behaviour.
If anyone has suggestions or knows any tricks, I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

I'm assuming the disk that mounts without a file system has a weird size, like 32 MB or 1 GB? You can try the unbrick directions for the AMS players on the wiki, but probably its just a dead player.

Ah! So the previous owner botched a firmware update? I'll take a look at the unbrick directions. Thanks for the information!
