Installation / Removal > Rockbox Utility

Rockbox Utility installed Rockbox on.... my external harddrive.

(1/1)

wnmnkh:
Not sure how this happened, but the apparently Rockbox Utility decided that my external harddrive was my Sansa Clip+, and it installed Rockbox on it.

Well, all I see is '.Rockbox' folder so I deleted it, but I am concerned if the bootloader installer damaged index of my external harddrive. I did quick scan on the drive, and did not find any errors.

But this still concerns me. Are there any potential issues on my harddrive?

gevaerts:
All the bootloader installation does on a clip+ is copy a file to the drive, which will then be handled when you reboot the player, so there's no risk.

For players where the installer actually has to do more than that (like the ipods), there is a lot of sanity checking, so even for those you'd be *very* unlikely to have such issues
